PS3 Exclusive, Uncharted 2 won 3 awards on Spike TV’s Video game award special. Best Graphics, Best PS3 game and most importantly Game of the Year. I had a feeling in the bottom of my gut that Uncharted 2 was going to win game of the year. In every aspect of the game I could find no flaw in its design. It fills the need of almost every gamer. Competitive multilayer, co-op, survival, and many different online modes. The story is just to die for. The cut scene transactions are well done as well, so well that when the cut scene is over you will be just standing there waiting for something to happen not know that you were given control back over your character.
If you want to read a good book or watch a good movie but actually control the out come and be apart of the action, then Uncharted 2 will fill that desire and then some. The first Uncharted was overlooked when it was released, but little did PS3 owners know that it was the beginning of an awesome series.
Uncharted 2 Developer, Naughty Dog has confirmed that there will be DLC to both free and costing in the near future.

Are you ready to boldly go where no man has gone before?
It’s already December and with each new trailer release from Star Trek Online, I must say the anticipation is getting to me. I have been a Star Trek fan ever since I was a kid. I believe Star Trek was the first show that really showed me how a great adventure story is made. I guess you can say I have always had a vivid imagination due to my love for a great story.
Being developed for the PC by Cryptic Studios and published by Atari. Star Trek Online is set 30 years after the Star Trek Nemesis movie. The game was originally being developed by Perpetual Entertainment with their own game engine in 2004 until the developer went into bankruptcy in 2008. This is when Cryptic Studios picked up the title and began development.
According to the official site, each player will be captain of his or her own ship. Gamers will be able to play as either Federation or Klingon with an addition to also creating your own race. This concept that Cryptic had devised seeks to differentiate characters with an impressive level of customization. Players will also get to experience several memorable story- line’s, ships, and characters from the Star Trek TV shows. You can bet with awesome visuals and being able to battle in land, space, or inside of other ships. This game is set to be one helluva Star trek experience.
Star Trek Online will become the first massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) within the Star Trek franchise. The game is set to be released February 2, 2010. For videos and more related to Star Trek Online, visit the games page at Gametrailers.

The 2009 Spike TV VGA Awards aired last night on the boobtube. If you caught the show, brownie points for you. If you didn’t catch the show then you’ve missed out. The show last night was ridiculously awesome. With a bevy of celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, Olivia Wilde, Jack Black, and many other big names making appearances, can you really go wrong? I think I almost creamed myself a couple of times just watching all of the world premieres. Nothing new.

A new exploitation in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is gaining popularity and since it isn’t hard to miss you probably would have noticed it if you have played in the last couple of days. Players have figured out how to customize (or “Privatize”) Matchmaking games. With it gaining popularity so quickly the chances of it getting patched with a quickness is inevitable.
What happens is that four or more players get into a private match and do some Voodoo Magic and it switches to a matchmaking game where you are free to expand time and points to the unlimited setting and boost to your hearts content. The game can be changed to any setting the host desires no matter what the name of the playlist is you joined.
Currently, if you join a game in the 3rd person playlist your chances of getting sucked into a Privatized game are about 6 out of 10. Other playlists are also candidates for having Privatized games but 3rd person seems to be the vein of the activity recently. Don’t worry there is no possible way they can ban you for using the glitch because everyone is getting sucked in involuntarily. The only way I could imagine getting banned is for doing the glitch and considering it’s easier to just join in than actually create a Privatized game I wouldn’t try.
If you think Free-For-All is insane on a small map originally just wait until you see 18 people running around Rust like Terrorists with their heads cut off!

Can you remember the last time you found yourself scared during a movie? A book? A TV show? I know I can’t, I’m not sure if it simply is just me getting older and not falling for the same old cheap tricks, Or if the generation that is emerging below mine is so easily mentally stimulated that almost everything is being dumbed down for them. But as of late, video games have not been as scary as they once were. Horror is a very hard genre to execute. Not only does every little detail have to be perfect in order to incur the slightest notion of suspense, but then it takes pure talent to make a person jump without the use of “jump” tactics.
Taking a stroll down memory lane, I perfectly remember sweating my palms out playing the PSX version of Resident Evil. I can vividly recall chewing my nails to the point of agony playing Clock Tower.. and now I find myself breezing through the newer Resident Evil games hardly breaking a sweat. Of course, there are exceptions, with games like Dead Space, although I think they may fall under the “cheap jump tactic” scary.
Brushing this aside, for my next article I plan to go make a top 5 list of the scariest and .. not so scariest games of all time. Stay tuned so I may wow you with my wit and charm and table dancing skills as I plod through my own feature of obscure lists and other random articles for your reading delight.

Apparently an MLG gamer who goes by the name ToM MoReLLo, recently had the opportunity to try out the first three levels of Halo: Reach. All around the Internet lots of speculations have been going around about if the pictures he uploaded onto the forum are fake or not. He also stated a lot of information about new weapons that are available in game, along with holdable “Perks” that are placed throughout the game. Microsoft and Bungie avoid talking about leaked information and usually try their best to get it off the web, so we can never be too sure if the pictures are legitimate or not. The forum user ToM MoReLLo shared his gameplay experience with the MLG community, So I gathered up the most valuable information and highlights of his game trial.
- The warthog can carry up to 5 units, the driver, front seat passenger, gunner, and two seats facing sideways of the gunner.
- The devices you can wield during the game or “perks” are: Halogram, sprint, and cloak. These are the only “perks” discovered so far.
- The new battle rifle carries 12 rounds and is semi-automatic, equipped with a scope. This is similar to the halo 2′s beta build of the battle rifle that was changed later.
- He also mentions that the sniper rifle has a longer delay between shots, which could change the game dramatically in my opinion.
- ToM MoReLLo tries to explain how one of the newer weapons “Needler Carbine” (keep in mind that’s not the real name) works out. “The new needler carbine gun is cool. It takes three shots to make the needles explode on someone. However, if that person has a shield, you have to take out the shield before the needles can stick.” That quote was taken from the forum before it was deleted.
- When cloaking, the sounds are muffled and your radar becomes jammed.
- He discovered a new warthog with volley missiles shooting 4-5 rockets with a 5 second wait time between each shot. Tom fails to mention weather or not the 4-5 rockets are fired at the same time.
- The game indeed does run on a new engine, with updated graphics.
Many questions are still erupting from all over the web that are going unanswered, and only time can tell when we will discover these. Check out the pictures below to see some screen shots ToM MoReLLo took.
P.S.- Tom Morrello is also the name of a famous American guitarist, however this is not the same Tom.
